As we approach the Fourth of July holiday week, we want to ensure you have ample time to transition smoothly to a new hardware solution. Therefore, we've extended the end-of-life date for your third-party clocks for your UKG Ready® solution. We’ll now officially mark the end of life on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, to give you more time to transition to the UKG InTouch DX™.
To avoid disruptions, we recommend transitioning to a UKG InTouch DX before October 1, 2025. As of this date, your third-party clocks will be deactivated, and you’ll no longer be able to use your clock for activities such as punch collection and scheduling.
Those with third-party clocks that have finger, face, or hand scan technology must also note applicable laws related to biometric privacy, which may consider templates generated from these devices to constitute biometric data. As detailed in the UKG Device Finger and Face Scan Data Statement, certain biometric laws may require policy implementation to ensure appropriate prior consents are obtained from all personnel using these devices prior to initial enrollment.
You’re responsible for permanently destroying all template data when the initial purpose for collecting templates has been satisfied or as otherwise required by applicable law. As you transition from these third-party clocks, you must ensure:
- Consent is obtained from your employees as required by applicable law, which specifically permits UKG cloud storage of and access to template data.
- All template data required to be permanently deleted under applicable law is removed from your UKG Ready host server. To delete the template:
- Open the Mass Edit Profiles report under Settings > Mass Edit > Mass Edit Profiles
- Select all applicable employees and click the Mass Edit button
- Add the Hardware Settings widget to the page under Edit Tabs
- Select Remove Template for any hardware devices that have collected a template
- Click the Apply Changes button and OK on the warning pop-up
If you do not permanently destroy template data from these third-party clocks by October 1, 2025, UKG will delete the template data on your behalf.
Note: If you’re using application programming interface (API) solutions to import time punches, these will not be impacted by this change. API integrations will remain supported.
Don't wait – your organization should decide on its workforce management technology path immediately to ensure a successful transition. If you have any concerns, we urge you to contact your Account Representative.
