Critical year-end updates will now be available in your UKG Pro® solution by Wednesday, February 12. These updates will address the following and may require you to wait until February 12 to generate Canada year-end slips:
- T4 information slip updates to ensure accurate reporting for employees working outside Canada with province codes US and ZZ
- RL-1 and RL-2 statutory updates to ensure files are accepted by Revenu Québec and employee copies have the required authorization number
Note: Revenu Québec will not accept any forms without these updates.
- Updates to Canada year-end Standard reports RL-1 Detail Boxes, RL-1 Detail Footnotes, and RL-1 Negative Detail to assist with year-end reconciliation
- T4 and T4A electronic file (XML) Transmitter Account Number update to include the 15-digit Business Number and Payroll (RP) Account in accordance with a recent Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) change
Note: Some customers, even with this update, may still need to fix their files. Read the Updates to T4 and T4A Electronic Files for 2024 Tax Year article for instructions if your company is in one of the following scenarios:
- The file is submitted to the CRA using “Represent a Client”
- If you log in to the CRA to submit the file with an account other than the Business Number on the slips and RP account 0001
- Company Name is longer than 30 characters
Important! If you’re using UKG Print Services, the submission deadline has been extended to Tuesday, February 18.
We apologize for this delay and the impact on your year-end process. Our teams remain dedicated to implementing these changes swiftly. We will provide any updates via the UKG Pro All Things Canada Community Group.
