During an audit of third quarter filings for paid family medical leave (PFML) in the states of Colorado, Massachusetts, and Washington, we’ve identified a need to recalculate amounts to ensure compliance with the assigned agency rates. Our teams are recalculating your rate(s) and this will result in either an additional tax amount due or a refund.
Your PFML liability is due on Thursday, October 31, for third quarter filing. We’ll be initiating a debit to your account on Monday, October 21, to collect the additional tax due and we’ll then remit this amount to the agency timely. Copies of the third quarter returns, filed on your behalf, will be included in your Company Package in your UKG Pro® solution (under Menu > Administration > Reporting > Completed Reports) on or before November 10.
Next Steps To identify the additional tax amount collected, click the “In transit” tab on the Bank Transactions page from the Payment Services Gateway in your UKG Pro solution. You can also run the Collection Details standard report from the transaction page. Read the View Bank Transactions job aid for more details. For more information, read our Colorado, Massachusetts and Washington PFML articles.
If you have any questions, please open a case in the UKG Community™ under Tax & Payment Services > More Options > Debit or Credit Question.
We’ve identified the cause of this issue and have taken the necessary steps to avoid this in the future. We apologize for any inconvenience.
