We recently applied an update to your UKG Pro® solution to support the 2018 Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) standard for employees in the following six jurisdictions: Indiana, Louisiana, Northern Mariana Islands, South Carolina, Washington, and West Virginia. While this update was included in a recent release, some employee records may still reflect outdated 2010 SOC codes.
Action required! To ensure accurate SOC reporting for the second quarter, please complete the steps below by June 30:
- Identify potentially impacted employees by running the Occupational Code Validation report from the BI Exchange in the UKG Community™ (under Learn > UKG Pro > BI Exchange). Read the Use the BI Exchange for UKG Pro® People Analytics job aid for full details on leveraging these reports.
- Update employee configuration to include the correct SOC code. For bulk updates, follow the steps outlined in the How to Mass Add/Update Employee's Occupational Codes Using the Web Import Tool article.
Important! Failure to do so will result in inaccurate reporting and potential penalties and interest assessed by the agency.
For Payment Services customers only: To support your organization, UKG will cover any penalties or interest assessed by the agency related to this update.
